Ojon Damage reverse restorative hair treatment vs. Charles Worthington Intense Rescue Melting balm

I am all obsessed with hair and different hair treatments possible out there. My hair is on the thinner side, but I still love to go with intensive hair treatments. I have tried very similar products- hair masks that you apply on dry hair before shampooing - Ojon and Charles Worthington and wanted to give you my opinion on which one I think is worth it.

Both of these masks are kind of balms that melts in palm of your hair. They are deep conditioning, helping damaged and over-processed hair.
To be honest, I can see very similar results. Hair is extremely shiny, manageable. Both are easily washed of and the only difference there is, is price and smell.
The Ojon has god very strong nutty smell (you can get the same mask without the scent if you want) and first time when I tried it overnight, I just could't sleep as the scent was just keeping me awake somehow. The Charles Worthington scent is gorgeous- can't explain what it reminds me of, but it is soft and nice.
So if you ask me, just from the application, smell, results I would prefer The Charles Worthington because it just makes sense. (Ojon Damage Reverse Restorative Hair Treatment for £34 and Charles Worthington Salon at Home Secrets Collection Moisture Seal Intense Rescue Melting Balm for £16.99.)
But if you want to invest in your hair, give Ojon a try. Well, they are just BOTH AMAZING. And if you haven't tried one of these miracle workers on your hair, please DO as your hair with thank you.
Any recommendations for naughty hair? Leave comment:)

MOTW: Tropical Seaweed Mask

About 3 years back I was visiting China for few months and definitely I was enjoying my time within the beauty isles where it was full of amazing sheet masks, treatments and much more. One of the things I fell in love was seaweed mask. Seaweed mask is not only supposed to be for one thing, it is supposed to help with plumping, but help with clearing the skin, well, let me get to the point: it is supposed to help with everything.

As they say on the ebay website, who can use seaweed mask:
1. sensitive skin person
2. dry skin person
3. person who need oil-control
4. person with acne and acne scaring
5. sun-burnt person

I absolutely love this mask as it REALLY does everything. I think I am not the only one who doesn't see only one problem on my skin, so going for this, sorts out more of my problems. You get it in form of seeds and supposed to mix it with water, which makes a very funny consistency which you just apply to the skin as usual. The skin feels plumped afterwards and just perfect, to be honest, how I would like it to feel all the time.

I couldn't find the same mask on uk ebay, but very similar one here, but there is the same one on US website.

This is one of my most favourite masks and it is not famous at all. I highly recommend this to EVERYONE:) This mask contains rich protein, cellulose, several vitamin mineral substance and moisturising ingredients which help to whiten spots from acne, rebalance water in the skin, effectively release wrinkles and recover skin elasticity. (as they say on ebay website)

Do you believe in product that does it all? Is it even possible? Comment below:)

PS: Happy Sunday :)

Brighter, healthier and glowy skin

Recently with the whole wedding preparation I have started to be obsessed with having glowy skin. As, after few reads I found out is the main thing your skin should be doing while having the big day, I just had to dig more and find the perfect products, makeup items that will help achieve the perfect bridal skin.

And let me start with, thank God there is makeup and we can help fake some of it.
As a constant biggest judge of my skin, I sometimes feel it can get closer to my desired finish, but when, oh, when?

I have inserted few products into my skincare and as well makeup routine that I believe are helping with me going the path I am currently desiring.

1. Skincare

The best is definitely to start with your skincare routine and making sure that either chemical exfoliation or the manual on is part of it. I personally prefer to use exfoliating toners on an everyday basis and then help with masks a little as well. There is Ren Glycolactic radiance renewal mask, Liquid Gold smoothing & Perfecting mask, but my all time favourite is Clinique turnaround instant facial as it gives the results of brighter, smoother skin, but is very gentle (and plus I look like smurf when I wear it;))

Having a moisturiser or a serum that helps brighten skin is always amazing plus, I like to have a night treat that gives me smooth and healthy skin in the morning. I am currently using Clinique Turnaround (from the same line) overnight moisturiser. I would really like to try the Bodyshop vitamin E serum-in-oil which sounds amazing (and when tried on hand in the store, I feel very tempted).

2. Primer

Shall we come to faking the glow now?:) I absolutely adore illuminating primers because they really work. Well, plus some other amazing products, but trust me, people will tell that you are glowing, well, at least the ones around me can always tell when I try to give extra glow or not. Anywas, my all time favourite is L'oreal lump magique which I talked about for ages, but currently I wanted to treat myself for wedding and go for something more luxurious and got Tom Ford Illuminating primer. So far tried it few times and really like, but proper review will be coming your way soon.

3. Powder

If you are going all glowy and then set all of your base with a matte powder, all of the work was for nothing. Therefore I love to set my foundation with illuminating powder. I currently made a review of Bourjois Java rice powder which I love, but when I finished it and checked that it lasted for 4 months, I wanted to check if there is anything that might be a better value. And I did. Bourjois java rice powder is  £9.99 for 3.5g and Bare minerals Illuminating mineral veil is £20 for 9g.

4. Highlighter
If you are not a fan of highlighting powder and you like to highlight only certain part of the skin, there are liquids, cream and powders. For example I have here Smashbox artificial light (liquid), Tom Ford Shade and illuminate (cream) and Mac Soft and gentle mineralise skin finish. My favourite is Probably Mac one as it is the easiest to apply on an everyday basis.

Are any of you ladies into glowy skin as well? Any tips or products that work for you? Share, please, I would love to hear your recommendations:)

Have a great day everyone:)

4 ways how to use HONEY

In the past few months I have started to do a little bit of research on some more natural skincare products and options. In the past when I couldn't afford to buy nice skincare, I used to do my own treatments. I once found an old book in our house called herbalist and loved to find treatments in our kitchen to help my skin.
In there I found a perfect SPOT TREATMENT recipe: just mix teaspoon of honey with teaspoon with cinnamon and apply on your spots ("future", starting or existing) and leave for up to 20-30 minutes and rinse with warm water. It always helped with my blemishes.
But as I was doing more research, HONEY has got so much more to offer:

Honey not only helps with ACNE, but also AGEING (as it full of antioxidants helping you fight environmental damage better), PORES and BOOSTING YOUR HEALTHY COMPLEXION.

Honey is great used for a FACE MASK as well. Just taking a spoon of honey, generously apply to the face and leaving up to an hour. Giving you all the benefits of clearing up the blemishes as it is antibacterial and antiseptic, giving anti-oxidants, giving complexion healthy radiance and smoothness. You can make your own face masks, just adding honey as an extra ingredient. Ancient women used to mix it with milk to keep the skin plump and hydrated.

Honey can work for your hair as well as a HAIR MASK. Honey helps to brighten the hair, so again mixing with your favourites for hair makes a great mask. You can mix honey, coconut oil and lemon for lightening the hair or whipped cream if you like. Just mix the texture, apply to dry hair and leave for as much as you can (best to leave overnight) and wash as you would normally do (I personally like to use shampoo twice to make sure everything is properly washed out).

And the last of my favourites uses is to use it as a CLEANSER. I personally just use it as my everyday cleanser, just take teaspoon, put to damp hands, apply to dry skin and massage, add water and rinse off.  I found that it could be a good makeup remover for face when mixed with some kind of oil (I would either recommend olive oil or coconut oil).

There are so many options with honey, it is just amazing. You can really play around with adding your favourite other food from kitchen and find your perfect treatments. The only thing I would like to mention before I leave is to make sure you are using RAW honey, so it is not processed  (loosing any of the active enzymes and benefits).

Do you use honey? Do you have any special secrets treatments? Share below:)

MOTW: Formula 10.0.6 Pores be pure

I have bought this mask on my trip to Netherlands as it had size of 100 ml, which I could take in my hand luggage. Don't worry though, it wasn't the only reason why I bought it:)

These products you can definitely buy in US in stores and in UK I found it on this website: http://www.stylepit.co.uk/

My pores get very easily blocked, so helping them to stay refined and exfoliated is one of my biggest priorities with them (next is hydration).

This mask is an exfoliating mask containing extract from strawberries of which one of ingredients is salicylic acid (from wikipedia: salicylic acid is a key ingredient in many skin-care products for the treatment of seborrhoeic dermatitisacne, psoriasiscallusescornskeratosis pilaris, and warts.)

That was the main reason why I really went for this mask. The mask smells very pleasantly, strawberry nice smell. I leave the mask for 5-10 minutes and wash with warm water after. Normally with exfoliating products my skin can irritated and pinky, but after this mask skin feels very smooth, comfortable and healthy.

The herb yarrow (also an important element in this mask) I used to pick up from our garden when I was a little girl. You can hardly smell it's specific aroma, but it works amazingly in this mask as this mask (according to wikipedia) contains isovaleric acidsalicylic acidasparagin, sterolsflavonoidsbitterstannins, and coumarins.
The herb is purported to be a diaphoreticastringent,[30] tonic,[30] stimulant and mild aromatic.

So if you are one of those you gets blocked pores, but don't want to do anything too drastic that could irritate, give this mask a try. And if you are a strawberry and pink lover, you just have to have this in your collection. Like, look at the packaging, just AMAZING:)

Have a lovely day everyone and thank you for stopping by.

MOTW:No7 Glycolic Peel Kit

I love my exfoliators, exfoliating masks and always wanted to try glycolic peel. I have heard that No7 used to do a great one in the past and few weeks ago they brought a new glycolic peel kit out.

What is a glycolic peel?
Glycolic peel is a way to renew the skin's surface by sweeping away the dull, dead skin cells and helping with uneven skintone to bring brighter, smoother and more youthful skin.

Most people use it if they are trying to treat ageing, but I am going for it to help my discoloration.

There are 3 steps.

1st is the peel. You apply it to the cotton pad and apply from forehead, movie to cheeks, nose and chin. Leave it for 10 minutes and remove.

Apply Post peel neutralizer on to the cotton pad and apply several times all over treated areas.
Rinse after with cool water.

Step number 3. Apply Calming recovery balm.

To be honest, I didn't think it is this easy. The main thing you have to keep in mind, that the first step: the actual peel can't be on the skin more than 10 minutes as it would irritate the skin.

After using this peel my skin was smooth, but I didn't feel anything happening while I was having the peel on my skin. No tingling feeling, nothing. Sometimes with my exfoliation masks I can feel that the exfoliation is happening. This could be taken as a bad or a good thing.

If you like to feel that something is happening, don't go for this peel. If you on the other hand want something gentle, I would definitely recommend.

Skin was definitely changed- it looked healthier and more radiant. Even my colleague said so.

From one package you can do 8 peels, as you should do a peel a week, it should last 8 weeks. The price is £24.95:)

Have you tried any glycolic peels? Any favourites?

MOTW=mask of the week. LUSH CATASTROPHE COSMETIC fresh face mask

I am a huge, huge fan of masks, I love them. I have few in my collection, so I thought it would be fun to do mask of the week, each week introducing one.

Som veľký fanúšik masiek na tvár, skutočne ich zbožnujem. Musím sa priznať, že mám menšiu kolekciu, takže som rozmýšľala, že by bola sranda urobiť masku týždňa, každý týždeň predstaviť jednu.

My favourite thing from Lush are their masks. My favourite one is Catastrophe cosmetic fresh face mask.

Moje najobľúbenejšie z Lushu sú ich masky na tvár. Moja najobľúbenejšia je Catastrophe cosmetic čerstvá maska na tvár.

Let me just write here what it says on the packaging: "When disaster looms, Catastrophe cosmetic calms and cleanses the skin. Blueberries rich in beneficial anti-oxidants, soothing chamomile, Irish moss and the gentle cleansing action of calamine to save the day." Ideal for calming and soothing troubled skin. You are supposed to leave it from 5 to 10 minutes. Easy:)

Dovoľte mi napísať čo je napísané na obale: "Keď príde katastrofa, Catastrophe cosmetic ukľudní a vyčistí pokožku. Čučoriedky plné anti-oxidantov, ukľudňujúci harmanček, Írsky mach a jemná čistiaca akcia calamine zachráni deň." Ideálne pre ukľudnenie a upokojenie problematickej pokožky. Máte to nechať pôsobiť 5 až 10 minút. Jednoduché:)

If you never had a Lush mask before, it is a freshly made mask that expires in one month. It retails for £5.95, so if you are buying it, make sure that you are trying to use it once-twice a week to really use it up, so it is worth the money for you.

Ak ste nikdy nevlastnili Lush masku, je to čerstvo urobená maska, ktorej trvanlivosť vyprší po jednom mesiaci. Predáva sa za £5.95, takže ak si ju kupujete, určite ju používajte raz-dva-krát za týždeň, aby ste ju skutočne využili a bolo vám to hodno peňazí.

I love the blueberries in the mask. They smell so nice. Even though the mask makes me look like Shrek, but oh well, it is worth it.

Zbožňujem čučoriedky v tejto maske. Voňajú neskutočne dobre. Aj keď táto maska zo mňa robí Shreka, ach, je to hodno.

After the mask I can tell that the texture of my skin is much smoother, my fine line on my forehead are non-existing and skin feels plumped and fresh. My skin feels just HAPPY:) I love that it gives you anti-oxidants, calms the skin and feels and smells niceeeeee:)

As it is fresh, don't forget to keep in the fridge as you want it is fresh as possible. What is great, If you bring 5 clean full-size pots or tubes, you get a fresh mask for free. That's worth it for me:)

What is your favourite LUSH mask?

Ktorá je vaša najobľúbenejšia LUSH maska?

Review: Liquid gold smoothing and perfecting mask

It was again that time of the month for me, so I was breaking out as crazy. Nothing was helping me, teas, special skincare regime....nothing....

Then I went for my Liquid gold smoothing and perfecting mask. I use it normally once in 2 weeks or so, when I feel like a need a little bit of help with exfoliating the skin.

If you don't know Liquid gold smoothing and perfecting mask, it is exfoliating mask, which chemically exfoliates just in less than 10 minutes.

I really love it in normal days, but specially this time it helped me so much. As you know when it comes to blemishes, the pores are producing oil, the dead skin cells are on the surface and as no oxygen goes to the pores, pores get blocked.

This mask helped me so much to help heal the imperfections and also my active breakouts were much less active ;)

It is great solution as if you have active breakouts you shouldn't go for mechanical exfoliants as they could spread the bacteria that is on the breakouts.

Sooo....this is absolutely great if you need exfoliation if you have dull skin, skin with a lot of imperfections or if you just want beautiful skin- it exfoliates, clarify, freshen and brighten. For all skin types.

Price: £46.

Review: Estee Lauder Stress Relief Eye Mask

I am always interested in eye products as I feel my eye are gets dry first, gets tired first, gets old first. Our eye area is actually 10 times thinner than the rest of the face, so it definitely needs a little bit more attention.

I love to go for eye masks, but mostly what I could find on the market was the asian version (and unknown brands). I was looking for something a little bit more luxurious, a brand that you can trust. I found only Estee Lauder and YSL to do such a thing, but YSL eye patches are 8 for £40 as Estee Lauder has 10 packettes for £26. Much more bearable price.

This is what is promised:

"A revitalizing, 10-minute treatment for delicate eye area-the part of our face that shows stress first and more noticeably. Pre-moistened pads hydrate and soothe skin, diminish puffiness and other signs of fatigue, reduce appearance of tiny lines and wrinkles. Contains targeted anti-stress, anti-fatigue hydrating ingredients. Plus botanical soothers like aloe vera and cucumber. Clinical testing shows it improves hydration as much as 40%."

I managed to use most of them and definitely after using I feel much more hydrated in eye area. Skin also looks more refreshed and less tired.

Verdict: I certainly very recommend as everyone needs a little bit of extra care for our under eyes.
