Origins Make a difference+ Rejuvenating treatment & night gel cream

Origins Make a difference

Origins Make a difference

Origins Make a difference

Origins Make a difference

Origins moisturisers always were and are on my wish list. Having natural ingredients and the range make a difference is supposed to specifically help with rehydrating and repairing the skin. And let me be honest here, who doesn't have dehydrated skin these days? The air-conditioning, different temperatures inside and outside…our skin needs extra help now.

And that was the main reason why I wanted to try these. I went specifically for the ones for combination oily/oily skin and they are definitely very light on the skin, they sink in right away and leave no residue. It is not as amazing experience in winter when it is cold as the gel texture can make you feel colder (well, that's how I feel that gel texture makes me colder and more intense texture makes me sweat in winter), but definitely I would recommend it for upcoming spring and summer. (I have used them for few months and no reaction, just hydrated, plumped skin, love it:))

As I said, light (oil-free), hydrating, repairing.

They contain nature's rose of Jericho Lychee and Watermelon hydra-sustain complex which quenches deep to help add moisture to dry, dehydrated skin.

If you have oily to combination oily skin which is dehydrated, I highly recommend these.

Check the Make a difference+ Rejuvanating treatment (£34) and Make a difference Night Skin rejuvenating gel cream (£34) on Origins website (the customer's reviews there are great as well).

Are you Origins lover as well? Which is your favourite?

MOTW: Tropical Seaweed Mask

About 3 years back I was visiting China for few months and definitely I was enjoying my time within the beauty isles where it was full of amazing sheet masks, treatments and much more. One of the things I fell in love was seaweed mask. Seaweed mask is not only supposed to be for one thing, it is supposed to help with plumping, but help with clearing the skin, well, let me get to the point: it is supposed to help with everything.

As they say on the ebay website, who can use seaweed mask:
1. sensitive skin person
2. dry skin person
3. person who need oil-control
4. person with acne and acne scaring
5. sun-burnt person

I absolutely love this mask as it REALLY does everything. I think I am not the only one who doesn't see only one problem on my skin, so going for this, sorts out more of my problems. You get it in form of seeds and supposed to mix it with water, which makes a very funny consistency which you just apply to the skin as usual. The skin feels plumped afterwards and just perfect, to be honest, how I would like it to feel all the time.

I couldn't find the same mask on uk ebay, but very similar one here, but there is the same one on US website.

This is one of my most favourite masks and it is not famous at all. I highly recommend this to EVERYONE:) This mask contains rich protein, cellulose, several vitamin mineral substance and moisturising ingredients which help to whiten spots from acne, rebalance water in the skin, effectively release wrinkles and recover skin elasticity. (as they say on ebay website)

Do you believe in product that does it all? Is it even possible? Comment below:)

PS: Happy Sunday :)

Indeed labs retinol reface retinol skin resurfacer serum

Retinol has become one of beauty favourites of a lot of people. Retinol is one of animal forms of vitamin A, which increases cell turnover and makes the skin looking much younger, smoother and having less breakouts.

I wanted to try the whole retinol thing as well, but the actual one that you can get only under prescription makes you peel and even when after the whole treatment, skin is beautiful, I need to work and I don't think I would find the time to peel.

So when Indeed labs came with retinol that is moisturising and being non-irritating (claiming no peeling, dryness and redness), I just had to try it.

It wasn't very clear on the packaging if it is a serum or a moisturiser, but on the boots website it said serum, so I suppose that is how you should use it. You should apply it in the evening and making sure that you use sun protection in the morning.

The texture reminds me more of a moisturiser that a serum, but didn't feel too heavy at all. The skin was  dry for me only around cheek area, but not anywhere else.

So let me go to what Retinol reface is supposed to help with:
- increasing cell turnover
- reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- restoring skin's radiance
- improving skin tone and elasticity
- improving skin's overall condition
- reducing the appearance of signs of ageing

It contains 3 different types of retinol: Retinol RA (Rapid Action), Retinol Micro-spheres and Retinol like peptide.

I don't have wrinkles yet, just couple of fine lines around my mouth and I could see smoothness in that area, I feel that the radiance wasn't significantly changed, tone was nicer, I was hoping (even if it is not promising, but directly it should help with) that when it helps with cell turnover, it will help with my pores, which it unfortunately didn't.

Overall judging: I like this product, it is very gentle and definitely you need to give it some time before you see results. I have been using it roughly for 3 months and skin is under good condition, but for me personally I wouldn't say it is a miracle worker. I very much love their Hydraluron, but I don't think I will be repurchasing this one, just because I think there are products that make bigger difference in radiance and smoothness of the skin.

I would definitely recommend checking boots website where you can check other reviews and people's opinion.
Retinol Reface retails for £19.99.

Have you tried any of the retinol products? Any that deserve mentioning? Share in the comments:)
Have a wonderful day,

NOTD: Barry M Greenberry

I have a quick NOTD for you, bring a little bit of spring, because I don't know about you, but I had enough of this winter already. My world needed a little bit of fresh colour, so what better way that paint your nails with bright greeny colour.
I am wearing here Gelly nail paint from Barry M in Greenberry and to be honest I completely forgot how these are great, the colour is opaque, it lasts and looks great. The application brush is not the best, but we can work with that. Used my favourite top coat Seche Vite which made nails shiny and stronger. (As a base coat I have used Sally Hansen Advanced hard as nails as I always need extra help with strengthening them)
So here is question for you ladies: Are you ready for spring as well?:) What is your little way?

My current favourite neutral lip combo

Few days later I shared on instagram that I have found my favourite neutral lip combo, so here you have it. It is so easy, just applying Pale pink lip pencil from Bobbi Brown (Lisa Eldridge used this in the wedding makeup tutorial, so I had to has it), which makes the lips nudey but with hint of peachiness in it and the best pinky-nude lipgloss which smells great: NYX Mega Shine lip gloss in Beige.

This has been my go-to colour currently and I am very tempted to use it for my wedding, but need to do something with that lipgloss. Not the best kissing tool, you know:)

What are your go-to neutral lip products? Share in the comments:)

Brighter, healthier and glowy skin

Recently with the whole wedding preparation I have started to be obsessed with having glowy skin. As, after few reads I found out is the main thing your skin should be doing while having the big day, I just had to dig more and find the perfect products, makeup items that will help achieve the perfect bridal skin.

And let me start with, thank God there is makeup and we can help fake some of it.
As a constant biggest judge of my skin, I sometimes feel it can get closer to my desired finish, but when, oh, when?

I have inserted few products into my skincare and as well makeup routine that I believe are helping with me going the path I am currently desiring.

1. Skincare

The best is definitely to start with your skincare routine and making sure that either chemical exfoliation or the manual on is part of it. I personally prefer to use exfoliating toners on an everyday basis and then help with masks a little as well. There is Ren Glycolactic radiance renewal mask, Liquid Gold smoothing & Perfecting mask, but my all time favourite is Clinique turnaround instant facial as it gives the results of brighter, smoother skin, but is very gentle (and plus I look like smurf when I wear it;))

Having a moisturiser or a serum that helps brighten skin is always amazing plus, I like to have a night treat that gives me smooth and healthy skin in the morning. I am currently using Clinique Turnaround (from the same line) overnight moisturiser. I would really like to try the Bodyshop vitamin E serum-in-oil which sounds amazing (and when tried on hand in the store, I feel very tempted).

2. Primer

Shall we come to faking the glow now?:) I absolutely adore illuminating primers because they really work. Well, plus some other amazing products, but trust me, people will tell that you are glowing, well, at least the ones around me can always tell when I try to give extra glow or not. Anywas, my all time favourite is L'oreal lump magique which I talked about for ages, but currently I wanted to treat myself for wedding and go for something more luxurious and got Tom Ford Illuminating primer. So far tried it few times and really like, but proper review will be coming your way soon.

3. Powder

If you are going all glowy and then set all of your base with a matte powder, all of the work was for nothing. Therefore I love to set my foundation with illuminating powder. I currently made a review of Bourjois Java rice powder which I love, but when I finished it and checked that it lasted for 4 months, I wanted to check if there is anything that might be a better value. And I did. Bourjois java rice powder is  £9.99 for 3.5g and Bare minerals Illuminating mineral veil is £20 for 9g.

4. Highlighter
If you are not a fan of highlighting powder and you like to highlight only certain part of the skin, there are liquids, cream and powders. For example I have here Smashbox artificial light (liquid), Tom Ford Shade and illuminate (cream) and Mac Soft and gentle mineralise skin finish. My favourite is Probably Mac one as it is the easiest to apply on an everyday basis.

Are any of you ladies into glowy skin as well? Any tips or products that work for you? Share, please, I would love to hear your recommendations:)

Have a great day everyone:)

Cover those blemishes...

My skin have been pretty good to me for the last few months and for that reason I didn't have to look for any good concealer, that will really cover and stay put for whole day. Well, until few weeks back, when I suddenly started breaking out (well, I know now why…) and I was forced to look into a good concealer that will cover my blemishes without looking too heavy, but still cover pretty well.

I had the Bobbi Brown Creamy concealer in my collection for a while, but I don't know for what reason I always thought it is rather for under eye area (actually it is recommended for eyes on Bobbi Brown's website) which as didn't work for me that great (too heavy, creases….), I just left it in my stash.

As I am trying not to purchase too many unnecessary makeup products, I went to look for solution to make my skin more flawless in my current makeup collection. Anyways, I am obviously talking too much, but long story short, I absolutely love the Bobbi Brown creamy concealer for covering my blemishes.

Either I am using Urban Decay brush (which I got with Naked palette) or use my finger (with finger I warm up the concealer a little in the pan and then pat where I need to) and then just use my RealTechniques sponge to finish it off.

I highly recommend this concealer to cover redness, blemishes or small scarring.

It retails for £18.50 and you can check Bobbi Brown's website for more details here.

Nivea in-shower body moisturiser

I have never had problem applying my body moisturiser after shower. It was always like a treat to myself to make sure I feel comfortable. For that reason I have never thought I would need one of the new-ish products on the market.

My very good friend Lauren moved back to US and as she couldn't take all of her beauty stash, she let me generous amount of her beauty products. One of them was Nivea in-shower body moisturiser.

And let me start with saying that recently my after shower treat with moisturising have been rudely interrupted with dammit too cold and long winter and therefore the only thing I wanted after hot and enjoyable shower was to get myself into onesie.

Perfect timing to use Nivea in-shower moisturiser. Let me say, I love it. You are getting the regular Nivea moisturiser scent (which I am ok with, but with different scents this would be AMAZING). It feels quite funny at first as it really feels like moisturiser, but absorbs well and after shower you can feel how hydrated the skin is. The extra benefit? You have an excuse to stay in the shower for longer.

So let me explain really quickly how you use it: You use your regular shower gel first and the you apply the Nivea in-shower moisturiser and after just rinse off. EASY:)

Definitely the best thing for these cold months for me and for those of you who don't really enjoy the whole moisturising after the shower:)

Check it on Boots website  here and now they are having ⅓ off as well:)

Urban Decay Naked Basics palette

Swatches on Naked basics palette (as you can see, all the pigmentation is very good except for w.o.s. which was quite difficult to swatch)

Ladies, as promised I am bringing you another review of the Naked palette family. Today it is the baby one, the naked basics palette. From all the palettes this was the one I never thought of purchasing, but once while flying, I thought, let me jus buy it on the plane and since then I absolutely adore this.

It is definitely palette that doesn't contain as much shimmer and pearl finish, but in my opinion it is one that is mostly appropriate for those girls that really love natural eye makeup that is matte and almost unseen.

You can create very simple and beautiful looks applying lighter shades allover lid, having my favourite crease colour (faint) and even black, so you can transform your day look into a night one.

I am very impressed by this palette and really enjoy taking it to the gym as it is so tiny, easy to carry around and still you can create whole look without being of a need of different eye shadows.

If you have someone in your life who wants to start with makeup or is liking very neutral one, I would say this would be my first choice, definitely (after that naked1, then naked2 and naked3 as last just to finish the collection:))

This palette retails for £22.

Vichy Idealia life serum

I am an absolute lover of serums as they are more concentrated and most of them really deliver the difference in my skin. This Vichy Idealia life serum claims to have clinically proven efficiency on skin exposed to daily excesses like being overstressed, pollution, UV overexposed and unbalanced diet. I certainly have most of the problems mentioned above, so I thought it would be perfect for me to try this out.

Vichy is claiming quite a lot of things about this product and some of them I can confirm, some definitely not. It is claimed that you have instantly more radiant and healthy complexion, which you could definitely see with this product as it has got those light reflecting particles which make the skin looking nicer. Pores should also appear tighter and skin texture should feel refined. I have not see ANY difference in my skin texture or pores at all, well, let me just say that I haven't felt or seen none of the amazing things that should happen to my skin. The scent is quite strong and it just rather feels like too expensive brightening primer.

So you guessed it that my verdict will be me not recommending this product, but you can check some other opinions on boots website here (which I always love to check)

Did you try it?
Did you see any change in the skin?
Have you managed to find your holy grail serum?:)
