Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Candle & Bath Oil

If you check with any candle lover, they always have heard of Jo Malone. If you have a Jo Malone candle, you are definitely splurging. Well, is it worth it? I am gonna tell you in this post.

When I got the candle and the oil, I still wasn't sure how I am going to like it. The scent was smelling therapeutic but that was all. But after a while I fully started to enjoy and appreciate the goodness there is in these two.

On the Jo Malone website: The sensuality of a daring red dress. Ruby-rich juices of pomegranate, raspberry and plum are spiked with pink pepper and laced with Casablanca lily and spicy woods. A dark and enigmatic fragrance.

When I first times sniffed this I wasn't very keen, but there is something about this scent that is gorgeous. I can't really explain well, but both, the candle and bath oil are greatly strong scented and a little goes a long way. I own different candle from Jo Malone (english pear something;)) and the pomegranate noir just delivers perfectly.

Well, I would say it is worth it. Candle definitely and bath oil for those days when you need relaxing bath after hard day at work or you are treating yourself, because it ain't cheap :)

So if you want great candle or bath oil, it might be worth it to splurge.

Perfume retails for 30 ml £39.00 and 100 ml for £78, candle (200g) for £39.00 and bath oil for £38.00.

Check whole range on Jo Malone website here.

My current beauty discoveries #1

I am always on the hunt of new things. In this post I will talk about products I found, discovered, quick opinion and all of that good stuff:)

Retinol reface- wanted to try good retinol treatment and after trying Roc I was a little bit sceptical as I didn 't like it that much. This one is great night treatment that resurface skin with 3 different types of retinol without being too harsh and making skin peel. Feels great and I started to have compliments of my skin since I have started using it:)

Bleach London temporary hair colour in Rose - I really liked it,but thought the colour will last longer in my hair. It is crazy, everybody is having completely different experience with these. Some people love it,some don't. I like it as it doesn't make my hair dry or unhealthy looking. Easy to use and fun chance if you need one, but just little is enough.

Vichy idealia serum - review coming soon

Nivea lip butter - oh man,you need to try this babe,it smells like haven ( get the vanilla & macademia;))
Bb thickening dryspun- finishing spray that I first did not have an idea how to use, so I watched their video:
http://www.bumbleandbumble.co.uk/thickening/index.tmpl

It gives great volume, but don't put too much, hair will get easily tangly and impossible to brush through.

Castor oil - loved by many to make hair grow faster, but I never heard that you should put just a little. Well, after learning my lesson and being forced to wash my hair more than 10 times ( I stopped counting) after I have applied it - one thing I am saying loudly is DON'T PUT TOO MUCH,just a little. I have to confess that I have been scared since to put it in, but as soon as I get courage, review is going your way.

Winter beauty essentials

Winter brings completely different problems to the skin than summer. Skin gets dry, irritated, red and dehydrated.

There are not many things you have to use to help yourself look and feel better.

One thing that is always good is GREEN TEA. Either you drink it or put on face, either way, anti-oxidants will help with overall health and skin looking healthy as well. (on the picture green tea with jasmine from Slovakia- my favourite;))

Good LIP BALM. If you are a beauty addict or not,you have to own a lot of lipbalms. I rather not count mine, but as all of us know, some are better than others. For winter I don't mind having balms that I stick my finger into and want proper feeling on my lips that no windy and cold weather can attact them. My current loves are Korres lipbalm in Jasmin ( smells like caramel to me) and Nivea lipbalm in  Vanilla & Macadamia and this one you just have to go and smell,I knowyou want to,so do it,no regrets;)

I was never a HAND CREAM person because most of them were just too much. Too rich, sticky and uncomfortable. For that reason I love L'occitane hand cream in Cherry Blossom and  Sabon in Delicate Jasmine (obviously I love Jasmine too much, but can't help it) You just put on hands and smell them and wherever you are, just somehow keeps you calm.

For FACE MOISTURISERS I like to go with something hydrating but still having gel-cream consistency:) For that reason I love  Origins make a difference moisturisers. My skin feels plumped,  hydrated, but not greasy:)( great for normal, combination to oily skin)

And lastly even my HAIR changes, which I didn't get for a bit and was still into my normal basic routine, but somehow when Anna from Stylediet mentioned that she loves Aussie I went to buy them and as the only scent I have like was the Moisture range, I went for it. And oh my, my hair is silky now, doesn't look and feel frizzy and just have that natural shine. Who knew:)

What are yours Winter saviours?:)

Soap&glory | Loved&glossed Gift set

If you are still looking for a gift for someone who likes beauty, makeup, but still likes going more on a natiral side, you might run to Boots to get this beauty as it is too good to pass.

Containing 3 lip glossy sticks which are going with the whole " chubby stick" trend, but baing glossy, almost feeling like a lipgloss without being too sticky.

The chosen colours are really nice as you are getting nude, fuchsia and berry colour.

For being £16 you can't go wrong (only if somebody really hates glosses). The name is fun, it is cute, colours are great, texture feels smooth ( but not like a lipbalm) and the price is very good value as one Sexy mother pucker costs £8 with the same size of 2.72g.

November favourites

I know November is quite behind, but just wanted to quickly share my favourites that I had thorough the month.

L'oreal lumi magique primer
Primer that makes the skin looking glowy and even when I didn't have enough sleep at night, my skin can still look good:)

Chanel Chance Eau tendre
Definitely my favourite Chanel perfume being sweet, but mature fragrance. Amazing.

Clinique superbalanced makeup
Foundation that gives medium coverage with natural finish and helps to give moisture to dry areas on face and control oil on oilier. I love this one for everyday working days:)

Smashbox Halo powder
I mentioned this babe in my perfect under-eye post here. It is hydrating powder that brightens and sets your concealer. Perfect for those dark under-eyes.

 Korres Jasmine lip balm
Amazingly smelling lipbalm that gives slight tint hydrates the lips without feeling too greasy. (but still on the greasier side;))

Bleach London Rose hair non-permanent hair colour
Since I did a video I had proper chance to try it out, so I might do a separate blogpost as I have heard mixed reviews about these. But just quickly, I really loved this one, giving a little bit of colour without going too crazy, damaging your hair and changing your style dramatically:)

Foundations without pump

When you talk to any girl that uses foundation on a everyday basis, none really like those foundations that don't have a pump. It can be ok with some with which the application is easy for example when the packaging is squeezy tube, but otherwise, such a hustle.

I have been loving two foundations which don't have pump and this downside was really unpractical when quickly trying to apply makeup in the morning. The foundations I am talking about are: Estee Lauder Double wear (perfect full coverage foundation for those days when you are breaking out or want flawless finish) and Clinique Superbalanced makeup (great medium coverage with natural finish).

Then I believe my friend Lauren told me that you can use MAC FOUNDATION PUMP (for £4) for Double Wear. I am not currently using double wear on an everyday basis, but I thought, when it works on that foundation, might as well try it on my Clinique Superbalanced makeup.

AND IT WORKS:)

So for those of you, who don't like the idea of foundation without pump, try this out. I am not saying that the MAC foundation pump will work on every foundation, but I am sure of these two:)

Hope this helped:)
Have a wonderful day:)

NOTW: Sensationail in Juicy Sangria

The time of the red nail manicures for Christmas is slowly here and as much as I love a good red manicure, with my weak nails sometimes I just have to go with a natural nailpolish as other just chip, break in a day or 2.

I already mentioned my favourite Sensationail gel manicure and I just bought an extra colour in Juicy Sangria which is perfect red and I have it now for 5th day and my nails are looking amazing (obviously I love to brag about myself...:))

But let me just show you what basic but classic manicure I will be rocking this Christmas:

4 ways how to use HONEY

In the past few months I have started to do a little bit of research on some more natural skincare products and options. In the past when I couldn't afford to buy nice skincare, I used to do my own treatments. I once found an old book in our house called herbalist and loved to find treatments in our kitchen to help my skin.
In there I found a perfect SPOT TREATMENT recipe: just mix teaspoon of honey with teaspoon with cinnamon and apply on your spots ("future", starting or existing) and leave for up to 20-30 minutes and rinse with warm water. It always helped with my blemishes.
But as I was doing more research, HONEY has got so much more to offer:

Honey not only helps with ACNE, but also AGEING (as it full of antioxidants helping you fight environmental damage better), PORES and BOOSTING YOUR HEALTHY COMPLEXION.

Honey is great used for a FACE MASK as well. Just taking a spoon of honey, generously apply to the face and leaving up to an hour. Giving you all the benefits of clearing up the blemishes as it is antibacterial and antiseptic, giving anti-oxidants, giving complexion healthy radiance and smoothness. You can make your own face masks, just adding honey as an extra ingredient. Ancient women used to mix it with milk to keep the skin plump and hydrated.

Honey can work for your hair as well as a HAIR MASK. Honey helps to brighten the hair, so again mixing with your favourites for hair makes a great mask. You can mix honey, coconut oil and lemon for lightening the hair or whipped cream if you like. Just mix the texture, apply to dry hair and leave for as much as you can (best to leave overnight) and wash as you would normally do (I personally like to use shampoo twice to make sure everything is properly washed out).

And the last of my favourites uses is to use it as a CLEANSER. I personally just use it as my everyday cleanser, just take teaspoon, put to damp hands, apply to dry skin and massage, add water and rinse off.  I found that it could be a good makeup remover for face when mixed with some kind of oil (I would either recommend olive oil or coconut oil).

There are so many options with honey, it is just amazing. You can really play around with adding your favourite other food from kitchen and find your perfect treatments. The only thing I would like to mention before I leave is to make sure you are using RAW honey, so it is not processed  (loosing any of the active enzymes and benefits).

Do you use honey? Do you have any special secrets treatments? Share below:)
