My favourite face makeup brushes

I wasn't the biggest addict of makeup brushes in the past, but when I found the really good ones,I see a very big difference how my makeup lasts and looks.

I would like to show you what makeup brushes I love to use on everyday basis because of their great quality and performance.

The brushes that I purchase most of time are the foundation ones. As I am wearing foundation everyday  and don't have time to wash them that often (and I wash my brushes after one use), it works for me great and I can find how they work best. Sigma angled kabuki brush works amazing! It is so ease to build up foundation and blend it where needed.
The stippling brush from real techniques I use every time when I break out and need super coverage. Just stipple it on, looks great, natural and your skin doesn't look like it is going through the hell.

There is not a lot to tell about this brush. Just easy, quick and soft;)

I absolutely adore this brush. My only Chanel brush, which is so worth it. Use it for blush, highlighter or bronzer, depends on the look that I go for.

It is easy to always have just right amount of blusher on-not too much, not too little. As you take blush on the tip of the brush and then blend with the whole size of the brush.

My favourite makeup removers

It is important to have good make-up remover as when you don't remove it properly, it is impossible to have healthy skin with clogged pores;)

I would like to share the ones I currently love and certainly recommend.
I started to take off my makeup as soon as I get home from work. Sometimes, when I am either hungry or have to do something else, I just quickly grab a wipe (No7 cleansing wipes) just to remove most of it, so my skin can breathe and later on do a normal cleansing routine with makeup remover and then cleanser.

The first is Clean energy Cleansing oil from Origins. This last year I started to use cleansing balms and oils as I find they really dissolve all the makeup and leave skin super soft. Even when I have combination oily skin, it doesn't clog my pores. Containing sunflower, sesame and safflower oils they make perfect combination to have relaxational experience while using. Retails for £19.

Clinique cleansing balm is a special balm that melts off to an oil when warming up between the fingers. Balm that doesn't contain oil as such perfect for dry skin where it helps to nourish the dry patches and with oily cleanses deep down to the pores. Retails for £20.50.

Liz Earle's Hot cloth polish is somehow my favourite as it smells nice, it is easy to use and I try to treat to this one only sometimes as if I use it everyday, one bottle would last me for a month, which with price £13.50 isn't the best budget help. But if you want one of the best, definitely have to try. (I have never heard a bad review on this product-you try it, you love it.)

For my eyes I always (or most of the time) I like to use separate eye makeup remover. Even though all the makeup removers I mentioned remove your eye makeup as well, the best results that you can get for your eye area :nourishing your lashes (which helps them to be strong and beautiful) is definitely with separate specifically made eye makeup remover. (which removes even waterproof eye makeup) Retails for £16.

WHICH ARE YOUR FAVOURITE MAKEUP REMOVERS? DO YOU LIKE TO USE WASH OFFS OR TISSUE OFFS?:)

Review: Bobbi Brown Extra eye repair cream

This product is one of those products which were mentioned by few you tubers and being raved about. As this product was so hyped up, I thought it might be as well worth it. It is one the more expensive eye creams (well, I normally don't have such a high budget for them;))

Retails for £40.

Let me first just tell you the active ingredients and what help it should give you: Full of peptides, natural plant oils and humectants that helps with fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, puffiness and dryness. Advised to first warm between fingers and then pat around the eye area. So claiming that it is going to do it all for you.

On Bobbi Brown's website is 96% positive feedback, but to be honest, I don't really get it. To me it is nothing like my other more expensive eye creams, it is worse.

The consistency is very thick, difficult to apply. Even when warming it before between fingers, it just sits on the skin and takes ages to be absorbed. I usually have to remove a little bit with finger, so I can start to do my makeup (even after 30 minutes or so...)

Claiming to do it all? The only thing I am sure it does is hydrating. It didn't help with my circles. It could help with fine lines as they are caused by dehydration around the eye area.

Overal feedback: Wouldn't repurchase it. The only plus I could find is the lasting power, as you need to use a very tiny bid of the product each time.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE EYE CREAM AND WHY?

Current favourites

As it is a little bit late to talk about February favourites, let me share some of my current favourites with you.

Ojon hair mask

I love this mask, you put it into your hair for 30 minutes and then do your normal routine-wash, condition... and your hair will be super shiny and looking strong. I was sceptical as my hair is quite fine (and normally hair masks which are on the greasier side are just too heavy), but this just gives moisture not too much, not too little.
Oh, and it smells quite nutty. I would't recommend to go and sleep with it as I couldn't sleep whole night when I had it on as the smell is definitely overpowering;)

Origins cream eyeshadow in Vanilla vroom

Perfect base for everyday.

Origins anti-ageing concealer

I think I talked about this too much on my blogpost: http://luciaknowsbest.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/new-origins-plantscription-anti-ageing.html. But since I started using it, I stopped using my foundation as this perfects my skin enough for everyday:)

Urban Decay Naked palette 2

This was very unexpected gift from my friend Lauren as she was getting rid of makeup she doesn't use. So seriously, how can you not use this? It is amazing, surprised I never thought if getting it;)

Eos lipbalms

My wonderful friend Lauren brought me these from US and I absolutely love them. I told her today when she goes next, I want more. They are addictive. Even my boyfriend likes them (and he is certainly not into any kind of skincare;))

to eat popcorn

I like to snack something all the time, so having popcorn on olive oil feels like quite healthy one?...:)

TV show: Mr Selfridge

I have Selfridges on my way to work, so having a little bit more info about the famous Mr Selfridge is amazing. It is sometimes a little bit of drama, but if you ever shopped it Selfridges, you would love it. After me starting to watch the show I enjoy going to the store and enjoy my shopping a lot.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE RIGHT NOW? :)

OOTD 3rd of March 2013

Today we had  a lovely day , so we thought  why  not go and have a walk in the Hyde park.
I love to wear this coat form H&M (which I got last year) as it is quite long  and   it nicely shapes the body.

When it get quite windy, my hat is my best friend.

I love my Michael Kors handbag- so classy, amazing quality and as I got it as a present, love it even more.

Such a good buy-bought last year in M&S-they are so comfortable and cute.

Obviously I really like H&M things, because I am not the biggest spender on clothes, so their nice clothes for good price work the best:) (This scarf I got from mu sister El, just so nice as it has ombre effect)

How did you enjoy this lovely Sunday?
