Sun protection in WINTER

I am sure you are thinking, well, girl, this would be beneficial more in Summer (you know, protecting your skin and stuff), but let me just say that protecting your skin from sun is crucial throughout the whole year.

I was that kind of person, that I knew that it is important, but sometimes I just forgot and didn't feel guilty about it. Well, not everyone is wearing sun protection everyday and their skin is just fine. But whenever I had clients who loved sun, didn't use sun protection you could tell, that their skin just didn't look that great.

Obviously still that meant a difference for me until I got a skin check by this Facial assessment which is like a machine that takes pictures of the skin and compares your results with people in your age, same gender and skin type, taking the test and scoring you with percentage (the higher the better).

Most of my results were pretty good except for UV SPOTS and BROWN SPOTS. And that got me thinking. Even though I am really trying to take care of my skin, I need to make sure I am getting protected from the sun ALWAYS. Because even though there is no sun, there is UV rays chasing your skin.

So I made a promise to myself using a sun protection everyday. I love my City block spf40. Even though it is an extra step, I make sure I use it. Making sure that in the future I will not get any discolouration on my skin because of my previous bad choices.

The last thing, I know it may seem a little excessive using spf 40 everyday, but at least I don't have to worry if it is sunny out or if my sunprotection is enough. Because you should have at least SPF 20 on a EVERYDAY BASIS. (Make sure though that your spf has UVA and UVB protection;))

I hope I helped some of you, just reminding you that it MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

PS: I got my skin analysis done in Whole foods where they sell their natural skincare lines but have seen the same one also on Elemis counter, so if you would like to know how you stand, I would definitely check it out:)

If you are interested in the results I got, check to the left:)

Review: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

If you are following bloggers and youtubers within the beauty area, I am sure you have already heard so much about this foundation. Well, I jus had to do this review, as sometimes it just makes you want the thing if you heard it from more people, not only from one;)

I got this foundation for the reason that probably everyone did: Everyone who tried it, loved it:) I have a friend who works for the company and I asked her if it is any good (and I knew I can trust her opinion) and she said it is AMAZING! Well, that was just too much and even when the price was more than I normally like to spend on a foundation, I went for it.

This foundation is unique as it with very light texture creates medium to full coverage. You get instant flawless finish, but still with the texture that normally only a foundation with light coverage would give you. The finish that it give is silky, more reflecting that I was used to, but when I set it with a powder, you get that silky finish with natural glow coming through.

I would definitely recommend at least getting a sample to try it out. Even though I love it that much, it still feels to me like a lot of money spend on something I have to repurchase regularly. Normally I am using 2 pumps everyday, so I started to use it only on special occasions and looking into foundation that would still make me looking great, but still making my wallet happy as well:)

If you are looking for luxurious, flawless finish quality foundation, don't hesitate and believe all the people that already love it:)
If you would like to check it out, click here, it is for £32.

Have you tried it? Have you found your perfect foundation?

4 steps to perfect lashes

STEP 1: CURLING YOUR LASHES
Step that a lot of people skip, but make an enormous difference with how your lashes will hold a curl and you will look fresh and your eyes more awake and open. (Shu Uemura Eyelash curler)

STEP 2: PRIMER or LASH TREATMENT
Get a primer that conditions your lashes so they are strong and long everyday and your mascara will hold better and more even. (Ojon Lash restorative treatment and mascara)

STEP 3: MASCARA ON TOP LASHES
Apply mascara from root to tip, making sure you are getting every lash, try to wiggle it within the root and while going to the tip close eyes which will coat every lash and hold curl better. (Clinique High impact extreme volume mascara)

STEP 4: MASCARA ON BOTTOM LASHES
Apply mascara with smaller wand for better application, coating every lash, from root to tip (no wiggling required;)) Make sure that lash length is covered. (Clinique bottomlash mascara)
DON'T FORGET: To check after in the mirror to erase any imperfections with cottonbud dipped in a little bit of eye makeup remover or just cottonbud on its own.
I wish you Happy beautiful lashes, ladies:)
PS: Even our lashes like a little bit of treatment, so while you are having a hair mask on, slap on some olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil or oil of your choice on your lashes to keep them beautiful and strong:)

Today's Primark haul WINTER cosiness

In the afternoon I went to Primark just to stock up on some socks, tights etc, so wanted to do a quick post on some of my fave things that keep me cosy during winter with as little cost:)

First are these touch screen gloves for only £1.50, which is my favourite purchase as the only touch screen gloves I knew off were the ones from Muji for £13.95.

Next: 5 pairs of socks for £2.50.

And the famous Super cosy tights which are having a proper amazingness inside. For £3.50.

Review: Clinique superprimer

I am not the biggest fan of primers for face as they mostly feel all silicon-y or you just feel like putting another unnecessary layer into your routine. Well, that will get changed for you all.

I found a primer that feels very light, really works with making your skin smoother for your foundation application and your foundation to look great all day.

Clinique came up with their quite large range of primers, each correcting a different concern:

Discolorations (peachy)
Dullness (pinky)
Dullness in deeper skintones (bronzy)
Sallowness (purple-y)
Redness (yellowy)

And if you can't decide or simply don't have any of the above, there is the universal one with no added colour, just perfecting the skin. And I went for that one. It has got slightly more liquid texture than the others as the others are thicker, but that is the reason why I liked it the most.

The last thing I would like to mention is that the application looks the best when applied with fingers and after apply your foundation with foundation. Skin looks smooth and perfect.

Highly recommend if you were after a new good primer:)
You can find it here for £20.

Are you using primer for everyday or do you have foundation that just does it all? Comment down bellow:)

Violight Slim sonic toothbrush

Every once in a while I am obsessed with something. And recently it has been TEETH. You know how it is (when being obsessed) you have to have everything that helps the situation. And in this case I went all out, buying different teeth flosses, tongue cleaners, mouthwashes, mouthsprays....

But once when I was at work, trying to brush my teeth after a lunch, I just couldn't get satisfied with just a regular toothbrush. Well, let me explain. For my morning and evening, I use my sonic tootbrush. But you ain't seeing me caring that in my purse.
That's why this Violight Slim sonic toothbrush is so great.

I don't know if I got myself too spoiled with using sonic toothbrush, but I can't feel that my teeth are clean with regular brush anymore. When britishbeautyblogger mentioned this little guy, I had to have it. It is giving 22,000 brushstroker per minute and it is the coolest portable brush there is. It is fancy looking, small, easy to carry around, just use battery and it really does clean the teeth, really.
I bought mine in Fenwick: here (you might rather get it in the store as it looks sold out online) or buy it in your local Boots, but in Boots it has got price £19.99 here (on an offer now) and in Fenwick I got it only for £12.50. So trust me, try to get it in Fenwick:)

Weleda Skin food: Winter's saviour

While watching few of the videos from Youtubers who are obsessed or more oriented to the natural skincare, bodycare and haircare, few of them absolutely loved Weleda Skin food.

Well, we have quite good selection of Weleda in Slovakia, but I didn't see much in UK. Last Sunday though I went to Whole Foods and found another amazing paradise of natural skincare and brands I have never heard of. And well, I have seen the Skin food. I had to have it.

I was expecting quite strong smell of essential oils, but what really surprised me was the thickness of the cream. It is probably the thickest cream I have ever tried. You need really tiny bit which goes a long way. And if you are after something that sinks into the skin right away, don't bother with this one.

This baby is amazing for those cracked heels, hands that we experience during winter.

Packed with most natural and good ingredients this really doesn't give a chance to any dryness on the body.
My favourite is to have it on my bedside table and apply before bed as a treat for my sleep.

What is your winter's saviour?

Christmas at Oxford street

One of the most amazing things about X-mas are the lights, trees and christmas special windows. I absolutely love this Year's Selfridges Christmas window, it might be might favourite:) So if you didn't have a chance to see it, here are some pictures:

And the Christmas lights which were turned on this Tuesday 12th of November:

You might think it is too early to enjoy Christmas atmosphere, but I truly love it too much:)

Are you getting excited for Christmas as well?:)

Haul from Slovakia

As I have mentioned I have been back home to Slovakia for 3 weeks and during that time I have managed to do a little bit of shopping, trying to have it a little versatile buying things that are different to UK options and I was pleasantly surprised.

Slovakia is giving good options of more natural skincare, haircare and bodycare and I had to get my hands on some of those.

If you are interested in which goodies I got there, watch my latest 2 videos:

Perfect under-eye makeup

I am always conscious of my eyes. The first area in which you can see tiredness, getting old, being on party last night, well, just everything. My eyes are seriously the entry to my soul. For that reason I try my best to make it look great. I am always trying new, better eye treatments and masks, but today I want to talk about how I am perfecting it by makeup.

There are 3 steps to get perfect under eye area:

STEP 1
After you hydrated the area with your favourite eye cream, sometimes just concealer that you put over can either dry it out back or crease as there is just too much moisture. So either your concealer will be gone by the end of the day or creases like hell.

I discovered amazing Smashbox photo finish hydrating under eye primer. We all know Smashbox has got amazing primers, but this my is my favourite one. It is just so smart. Apply your eye cream, this primer and problem solved. And it works.

STEP 2
As the eye area is perfectly prepped you can go with your favourite concealer. If it is just something highlighting (if you are so lucky not having dark circles) or proper hiding anything over there, make sure that everything is nice and blended.
I started to love my MAC prolongwear concealer with Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge which is quicker than my fingers or any brushes. Just apply concealer in triangle shape to brighten (if applied just underneath your eye, it can create REVERSE panda eye look). Just work it into the skin, so there is no visible concealer line, just perfectly smooth and even.

STEP 3
The last step is setting this whole thing. Depending on your dryness, you can set it with rosewater, or going for a powder. I personally like Smashbox Halo yellow color correcting hydrating powder as it is hydrating, colour correcting and setting at the same time. You can't go wrong with this one. The only down side is that it is zoo small. Only 7.1g as your regular powder is roughly 12 g. I suppose you will use it around the eyes only, it is worth it. If you have though redness, I would highly recommend Clinique redness solutions powder with 11.6g in it:)
