RealTechniques Miracle complexion sponge

I was just talking to my friend on Sunday how funny it is we change our makeup routines. We start with applying our makeup with fingers, then with foundation brushes, flat kabuki brushes and now the newest hit is sponge. I was a big sceptic and if you would ask me after first use, I hated it. But I converted:)

I have to confess that I haven't tried the famous beauty blender, just the cheaper versions which normally didn't work well, but found the RelTechniques complexion sponge which I absolutely love.

I love the shape with which I can apply my foundation and concealer without cutting any edges. The result is better and easier than with more brushes that I would have to use.

The used sponge on the picture has been abused for few months (I am not playing around with it, I want to see full potential;)) and the little piece is missing because I was really late doing my workout in the gym and was extremely rushing doing my makeup. Otherwise it was holding perfectly fine. I have heard that some people were having troubles while washing it, but I am very satisfied.

This has been my miracle worker for months and all RealTechniques products I have tried, I loved so far. Samantha Chapman seriously knows her stuff.

You can buy the RealTechniques Miracle complexion sponge here for £5.99. (the Boots customers gave 6/6 stars:))

What is your favourite application of foundation?:)

MyChelle Ultra Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum

Hyaluronic acid has become one of the most searched ingredients in our skincare products as it has been proven that it makes skin plumped, hydrated and helps with ageing as well. Everyone definitely knows Hydraluron as Caroline Hirons (skincare goddess) mentioned this product as one of the best, but I found another one which to my happiness is more natural.

MyChelle is definitely a brand that is new to me and this is the first product I am trying from them, but as I am trying out more natural options, I thought I might give it a go.

I found MyChelle products in Whole foods, but you can get their products on their website as well here. (they are currently giving 20% off their hero products and this serum is one of them - till 31st of January)

I usually go with 2 pumps, applied before my moisturiser. The texture feels very light, gel like, but when I was using it in the mornings, I felt like it was too much for my skin and foundation didn't sit as well as it usually does, so would recommend it rather for evening skincare routines (anyways our skin can apparently absorb hydration 4 timer better through the night). The scent is very gentle, hardly noticeable which is refreshing for natural product.

I love that it feels light on the skin, but really hydrates and I can apply my other evening treatments without feeling overload and my skin feels fresh, plumped and hydrated in the mornings.

MyChelle has got also starter kit collections where you get more products to try out their cleanser, treatment, moisturiser and more for £15.95. (Hello Beautiful Collection Dry By MyChelle) If you are trying to go more natural with your routine, I would definitely recommend them.

The serum retails for £29.

Have you ever tried MyChelle products? What is your favourite natural skincare brand? Let me know in the comments below:)

Have a wonderful week and I will talk to you soon:)

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette | Review & swatches

I know everyone was talking about this palette ages ago, but to be honest, I wanted to give myself time to really play around with it and see if I like it or not. I was very hesitant if I should get it or not as first of all I have a lot of palettes and second of all, I wasn't sure about how the colours will be great for my complexion.  (luckily I got it from my sister for Christmas, so to quilt there:))

The palette is definitely beautiful, going more into pinky tones, which are rather not your everyday choice. I personally enjoy most of the colours as you are having mattes, shimmers and pearly finishes mixed in, which makes it versatile. The most disappointing colour for me was Dust as it is extremely chalky, there is a lot of fallout and even when freshly new, it just look like a trouble maker. So staying away from Dust if you can:)

Otherwise, colours are gorgeous, I absolutely adore the mattes: Strange, Limit, Nooner.
I prefer lighter colours for everyday use, so I will rarely touch Factory, Darkside and Blackheart, but they are gorgeous colours to have in your collection.

If I should say overall judgement: If you are not an owner of Naked palette, I don't think I would recommend to start with this one, Naked1 and Naked2 palette are more everyday makeup friendly (I am planning to do swatches and reviews of those as well), but if you own the others, it is gorgeous palette to own to create different looks and make your daily makeup more fun without going with too much colour (as most of us still love our neutrals anyway).

You can get Naked3 palette in Debenhams and it retails for £37.

Do you own Naked3 palette or any Naked palette? Which one is your favourite?:)

Thank you so much for reading and I will talk to you later.

Bourjois Java rice powder

As you could have noticed, I usually tend to write about products that I like and that are worth it for me to mention them. This time I am going to be talking about a product that has become my stable and I hope never leaves my makeup bag.

The talk is about Borjois Java rice powder. It is a loose powder that gives absolutely beautifully glow to the skin. I am normally the biggest fan of pressed powders as they are much easier to use, but I think I found my ultimate powder as it give smoothness, silkiness to the skin while I am having this amazing glow. I have constantly people telling me and asking me what I am using as even on the days when I don't feel best or had a little sleep time, the glow is there.

As Bourjois is celebrating their 150th birthday, they reinvented this cult classic from 1879.

How I use it: I put a little bit of the powder to the lid and apply it with MAC 137 brush. It is a flat brush so it picks up the product well, but because it is not dense, it lightly and evenly distributes it as well.

Recommended to: People who want illumination without looking greasy.

The last this I want to mention is the scent that is very light, but somehow feels very classic and gentle.

You can get Bourjois products in Boots and this powder retails for £9.99.

I know Bourjois is loved by many, so if you have tried, which are your favourites from Bourjois?:)

Thank you for reading and talk to you soon:)

Aussie miracle moist shampoo & conditioner

Another day and another post about hair. I am sorry:) My focus is normally to make my blonde hair looking blondish so I choose to go with haircare for blondes, but somehow when I watched StyleDiet's video where she mentioned how she love these, I went and get them. No disappointment there.

Aussie's most famous product is definitely their 3 minute miracle mask and if you ever had a chance to try one out, this shampoo and conditioner smells absolutely the same. Oh, let me tell you, these are the best smelling hair products you will ever try.

I love the texture of the shampoo as it is creamy, but not overly, just right amount to really hydrate my hair and with the conditioner my hair feels soft and it is defrizzed. I could definitely tell that my hair needed a little bit more moisture through the winter and these were my miracle workers for sure.

Try them out as they are cheap and awesome.

Check the shampoo and conditioner in Boots (and they are only £4.69 and on 3for2 now).

Grow gorgeous serum | 1 month of use

If you are new to my blog, let me just tell you that I am little obsessed with hair and growing it long. With having naturally ashy blonde hair I haven't inherited super thick strong locks, but definitely in the process found few tricks that work.

Currently I am trying out the new grow gorgeous serum which is definitely promising A LOT.

First impression: It is so easy to use this. I love that it has got liquidy texture as it is easy to apply. It smells like mens cologne, so definitely no complains there;) and it takes so little time to massage in. I might just massage for few seconds. It feels well relaxing though:)

After 5 days of using: I love that it is so easy to use. Oh, did I already say that?;) Well, it is so true, apply just once a day after shower, so you don't forget to use it. And I never do with this one. Normally when I apply any hair treatments, my hair get super oily very easily. Not with this one, I can still do my routine of washing my hair twice a week.

After 8 days of using : my baby hair is starting growing and even when it looks weird, it gives me proper prove that something is happening. My hair feels strong and thicker, even looks better in a ponytail:)

After 3 weeks of using: no magnificent change that I can really see. Hair feels normal, not really stronger, but it is really healthy, shiny and is getting longer for sure.

After 4 weeks of use: the main difference I can feel and see is definitely in the length. I see a lot of new hair growing out which makes my hair looking a little frizzy, but if my hair will be longer and stronger, I am definitely keeping on using it.

The bottle should last about 2 months with everyday use, but the best results you are supposed to see after 4 months with having 13 000 new hair on average.

Another monthly updated about this product will be going your way, so check them out later on:)

If you are interested in buying one of these, I got mine here for £29.99, which is not cheap (but I am getting married and my hair needs to be fab;))

Thank you dolls for reading and talk to you soon:)

YEAR 2013

It was New Years eve and somehow I felt like it was difficult for me to remember what I experienced, when and how this year was amazing.

I would like to share with you some of the highlights, big changes and great moments that I had in 2013:)

In January my fiancé Richard and I visited our friends in Netherlands for first time and we celebrated the New Years Eve on the bridge of Rotterdam, had an amazing time partying, drinking, discovering Rotterdam and cycling in the crazy windy cold weather:)

In May I went for few days to Rotterdam again, this time to celebrate my mum's 65th birthday. We went for 4 days which was filled with sighseeing, seeing Keukenhof (an amazing exhibition of flowers - tulips mostly), visiting Amsterdam. The weather was gorgeous and you just have to see the exhibition. I just loved it. (More pictures from that trip in the this blogpost.)

In June I went to work part-time as I wanted to see how it would work for me. More time, well I hoped there would be more of it, but somehow even more time can be spent and filled with a lot of things to do. I had more time to spend with my friends and family, but not having as much of a salary did really influence me. When you have more time, you have more things to spend your money on, so I needed a change again. In November I went back to full-time.

In the end of June we went for holidays to Canary Islands which was my first ever official holiday I paid for (finally a grown-up?). It was amazing, I love spending time with my fiancé. We went for a lot of walks, we swam a lot, sunbathed a little and most importantly on 24th of June we got engaged. We were sitting on a bench, looking on the sunset on the sea and it happened. We went to a restaurant by the sea and drank some champagne to celebrate. Perfect evening.

In August we had friends coming over for few days (Monika & Petko), which was very refreshing and nice. We did go to park, doing some shopping, market, chatting, getting drunk (well, oh mostly me as obviously I can't manage more than one glass of wine...) and just enjoying our company.

In October we went to Slovakia (I went for 3 weeks, Richard-my fiancé went for 1 I believe.). Normally I don't really miss Slovakia, but with this visit I really enjoyed it. We visited our family, friends, we personally invited people to our wedding. I had quite a bit of time for myself, great time helping my mum in garden (I didn't help that much, because even if it doesn't look like a lot of work, you need to be trained and it looks like my mum had more strength than I did), catching up on my favourite tv-shows. Oh, and we went to High Tatras and I got my wisdom tooth taken out.

Another great visit were our other friends (Mariannka & Dennis) who came just in the beginning of December. The atmosphere was all Christmassy and luckily we have still  time (even when working full-time then) to spend together. We went to Oxford street, a lot of shopping in Westfield, they did some sighseeing, we went to Winter wonderland and went to have traditional English breakfast (when I have Eggs benedict for first time).

The last visit in the Year we had my future-in-laws. The stayed with us from 20 till 27th of December. It was perfect. We had great time together, they are funny people to be around. We laughed a lot, drank a lot (of course) and had an amazing Christmas. We watched a lot of traditional Slovak fairytales and we even went for Boxing day shopping:)

In Slovak language YOU can be used in two ways. In Formal way (you normally use this with authorities, people older than you) it is used as YOU (in plural). In Informal way used as singular (used with friends, people your age). Well, anyways, it is normally the authority or older person who can allow you to use singular which is a great deal. So, long story short, my future-in-laws allowed me to use singular "you" with them.

And that's about it. Year of 2013 was a nice one, but I am so excited what 2014 will bring:)

My New Years resolutions | 2014

There are people who love and people who hate making New Years resolutions. I was always the one trying to make some, but it never worked out as I was aiming crazily too high (eating just vegetables and fruits....oh, sure...:))

Within the past few years I started to shape myself mentally to find out what I really want (at least for now) and what I am willing to do for it. There is no point giving yourself crazy resolutions that will not lead to anything. And what I found is, it is important to know WHY you want those things. Cause if you know, it has a meaning for you.

It was so funny, because I wanted to double check what my last years resolutions were so I can find out how I did. I didn't remember where I wrote them and I just randomly found them on a piece of paper:

Some things were close to the truth, some not that much.

Anyways, I just soooo love to talk too much.

Let me share with you this Years resolutions (and the meaning to them:))

BODY - luckily I knew that I will want to start with going to gym resolution for this year, so when I was at my strongest with the decision, I went to gym and signed up (in the beginning of December). My theory is not giving myself too much pressure now, as I am slowly getting used to the idea of working out and I asked for new backpack, socks for working out and other beneficial things are sorted, so I can focus on the actual thing.

My motivation with GYM is quite good I suppose as I started tis journey with remembering how good I always feel when I loose some steam. I work full-time and try to enjoy my fiancé, family, blog, youtube  and let me say if you are completely tired, stressed out and grumpy, that's not how you are going to enjoy life.

Other thing, I want to be strong, healthy (and I love my food - no resolutions into that one luckily :))
And the last motivation for me is my wedding, I am getting married on 24th of May of 2014:))))))))) I am so excited and I want to look my best, starting with doing masks every week to exercising. I know the best way to make your new years resolutions is to be specific and I have my specifics, but I am not going to stress myself about this one, because I am doing this for myself. I would like to go 3 times per week either before or after work, but if I am travelling, tired, ill or for whatever reason not going 3 times but just once in a week, I am doing next week what I can. I want to feel great and strong:)

Just one thing I would like to mention I realised about myself and food is that I have times when I am craving all the sweetest and most unhealthy meals and then I let myself go a little, but there are times that I don't really fancy food that much, I don't really crave anything, I don't mind and that is THE TIME when I give myself as much salads, fruits, healthy meals as possible. Work with your body and both are gonna be HAPPY.
Body that I would like to achieve is Doutzen Kroes one, check the amazingness here.

SOCIAL - (in this category I am putting fiancé, family, friends and experiences with these people)
I definitely want to spend more time with people that are important to me, I want to make the most of out those experiences so I can really cherish those moments.

I will put into my social also my wedding, which will be an amazing important day which I want to enjoy to the fullest, have a lot of laugh, sharing love, dancing, drinking (just a little;)) and making a lot of pictures that will remind me of the "perfection" of the day.

That takes me to the other resolution:  making sure that I take pictures. With my family, friends and on great days:)

Last but not least, my fiancé will be 30 this year, so it needs a little celebration, so celebrate it in the way that he will enjoy and love the most and try to make the day great.

SPIRIT & EMOTION - As I read book Magic (Rhonda Byrne) in which you are supposed to write down each day 10 things you are grateful everyday. When I first started reading the book, I was doing it every single day, but sometimes it takes time and I just stopped. I started writing my lists again, trying to do it everyday if possible, but it is really about appreciating what you have and realising that you have much more than you normally think you do.

Next great book that I have just started is I can make you happy from Paul McKenna, who is famous hypnotist helping to loose weight, stop smoking and more. In this book you are getting also hypnosis CD. Love it. Need to properly read it though.

Well, you got an idea. Reading books that lead somewhere to get me better, stronger and more confident person.

AND finish my Vision board. I have started to work on what I really want from life, but it ain't easy. As terrible as it sounds, it needs self-reflection, thinking and realising desires, strengths and dreams.

MY MISSION - With blog I would like to write at least 10 blogposts per month. It is not a crazy amount, but just working on it, but achievable while working full-time.

Youtube - do a video per week (already didn't do first 2 weeks, but hopefully will get to the routine)

Work-wise I don't really rush or stress too much as I would like to attend a Life coach course which I would like to start after my wedding. The course can take minimum 5 months, so I will see how that goes. I always wanted to do something more with my Psychology degree and going more positive direction. After thinking a lot, I think this will be perfect.

NEW EXPERIENCES - So far it looks like we would like to leave UK by the end of this Year and go to a different country (not giving you away yet the which one;)) and because of that we think it is perfect time to have little travels around UK. We have been asking our friends and family about any recommendations, what is worth it, when and why. We might do 1 day or 2-3 days trips, which will be refreshing between work and exciting and the same time.

And I believe that wraps it up. I hope I didn't bore you, but I personally love to know what other people want to work on. I have few beauty resolutions as well, hopefully that post won't be that long and crazy:)

Thank you so much for reading this post and I wish you a lot of strength to achieve all of your New Year's resolutions:)

Bumble & Bumble Dryspun Finish

Happy New Year everyone:) Before I share with you my favourite products of 2013 and my New Years resolutions, I have for you a quick review of one of the most interesting products I have tried:)

This amazingly different and great product has been talked about from almost every blogger. Well, as it is most of the times, it might have quite good reason - to be a great product:)

First, I didn't really get it. Hairspray. Gives volume. How to use it? Thank God there are videos, so I could get the most of this product and the video really made me want it. So, let me get to the point: You spray this spray to the whole hair while separating it and lifting it and it creates airy finish.

Hair looks much fuller, but make sure you don't use too much as hair gets tangly and unmanagable.

You can check it on Bumble and Bumble website here and as they are saying there: it creates airy, weightless and effortlessly full hair (I can confirm that you get that). It retails for £21.50.
