Weleda Skin food: Winter's saviour

While watching few of the videos from Youtubers who are obsessed or more oriented to the natural skincare, bodycare and haircare, few of them absolutely loved Weleda Skin food.

Well, we have quite good selection of Weleda in Slovakia, but I didn't see much in UK. Last Sunday though I went to Whole Foods and found another amazing paradise of natural skincare and brands I have never heard of. And well, I have seen the Skin food. I had to have it.

I was expecting quite strong smell of essential oils, but what really surprised me was the thickness of the cream. It is probably the thickest cream I have ever tried. You need really tiny bit which goes a long way. And if you are after something that sinks into the skin right away, don't bother with this one.

This baby is amazing for those cracked heels, hands that we experience during winter.

Packed with most natural and good ingredients this really doesn't give a chance to any dryness on the body.
My favourite is to have it on my bedside table and apply before bed as a treat for my sleep.

What is your winter's saviour?

Christmas at Oxford street

One of the most amazing things about X-mas are the lights, trees and christmas special windows. I absolutely love this Year's Selfridges Christmas window, it might be might favourite:) So if you didn't have a chance to see it, here are some pictures:

And the Christmas lights which were turned on this Tuesday 12th of November:

You might think it is too early to enjoy Christmas atmosphere, but I truly love it too much:)

Are you getting excited for Christmas as well?:)

Haul from Slovakia

As I have mentioned I have been back home to Slovakia for 3 weeks and during that time I have managed to do a little bit of shopping, trying to have it a little versatile buying things that are different to UK options and I was pleasantly surprised.

Slovakia is giving good options of more natural skincare, haircare and bodycare and I had to get my hands on some of those.

If you are interested in which goodies I got there, watch my latest 2 videos:

Perfect under-eye makeup

I am always conscious of my eyes. The first area in which you can see tiredness, getting old, being on party last night, well, just everything. My eyes are seriously the entry to my soul. For that reason I try my best to make it look great. I am always trying new, better eye treatments and masks, but today I want to talk about how I am perfecting it by makeup.

There are 3 steps to get perfect under eye area:

STEP 1
After you hydrated the area with your favourite eye cream, sometimes just concealer that you put over can either dry it out back or crease as there is just too much moisture. So either your concealer will be gone by the end of the day or creases like hell.

I discovered amazing Smashbox photo finish hydrating under eye primer. We all know Smashbox has got amazing primers, but this my is my favourite one. It is just so smart. Apply your eye cream, this primer and problem solved. And it works.

STEP 2
As the eye area is perfectly prepped you can go with your favourite concealer. If it is just something highlighting (if you are so lucky not having dark circles) or proper hiding anything over there, make sure that everything is nice and blended.
I started to love my MAC prolongwear concealer with Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge which is quicker than my fingers or any brushes. Just apply concealer in triangle shape to brighten (if applied just underneath your eye, it can create REVERSE panda eye look). Just work it into the skin, so there is no visible concealer line, just perfectly smooth and even.

STEP 3
The last step is setting this whole thing. Depending on your dryness, you can set it with rosewater, or going for a powder. I personally like Smashbox Halo yellow color correcting hydrating powder as it is hydrating, colour correcting and setting at the same time. You can't go wrong with this one. The only down side is that it is zoo small. Only 7.1g as your regular powder is roughly 12 g. I suppose you will use it around the eyes only, it is worth it. If you have though redness, I would highly recommend Clinique redness solutions powder with 11.6g in it:)

While I was away...

I have been away for quite a while as I have gone back home for lovely 3 weeks (you could have guessed it according to last post-what I am packing for 3 week;) )

I had absolutely amazing time back home, set a date for my wedding, got a venue, so I am super excited.

I have bought few things back home and I am just working on editing my haul, but before I will share that, I just wanted to insert few pictures from my trip:)

Lakes of love
High Tatras

We had absolutely amazing time in High tatras and Tatralandia which is an awesome aquapark. Just a little picture in Tatralandia:

Other than that we enjoyed visiting our families, inviting them and friends to the wedding and just enjoying time.

One last picture is with my amazing mum:

I hope you are slowly getting excited for Christmas holiday. I certainly am:)
Talking to you soon, definitely being back to beauty:)
