Batiste XXL Plumping powder vs. Bumble&bumble Pret-a-powder

My hair is nowhere near voluminous. It never was. For that reason I like to get some help from volumising powders. Today I will do a quick review for you of 2 I have been trying out and telling you which one I love more.

Let's start with Batiste XXL Plumping powder (£3.99). I own this powder for few months now and have to say, whenever I was after good volume, this delivered it. I sprinkled a little bit into roots of my hair, massaged and there was volume. The volume was there, but hair got very coarse and unmanageable, tangly even in the roots area. I would have to leave my hair, don't brush it, otherwise I would take all of the hair with me. Volume there, but the hair would feel dirty.

Next is Bumble&bumble Pret-a-powder (£21.50). This one is not only volumising powder product, but also dry shampoo and style extender (whatever this means, but that's what they say:)) This one feels light in the hair, almost like you have not put anything in there, but still gets rid of the oiliness (if your hair is crazily oily, not sure how well it works, but refreshes my hair really well-PS: my hair is more normal) You achieve good amount of volume with no crunchiness at all and hair feels very airy.

Overall judgement: Bumble&bumble Pret-a-powder is definitely my favourite. Feels light, fresh and natural in the hair. But….for that extra volume and special occasions I would still reach for Batiste XXL Plumping powder. It doesn't feel great in the hair, but gives volume and stays for those sexy dates.

Ojon Damage reverse restorative hair treatment vs. Charles Worthington Intense Rescue Melting balm

I am all obsessed with hair and different hair treatments possible out there. My hair is on the thinner side, but I still love to go with intensive hair treatments. I have tried very similar products- hair masks that you apply on dry hair before shampooing - Ojon and Charles Worthington and wanted to give you my opinion on which one I think is worth it.

Both of these masks are kind of balms that melts in palm of your hair. They are deep conditioning, helping damaged and over-processed hair.
To be honest, I can see very similar results. Hair is extremely shiny, manageable. Both are easily washed of and the only difference there is, is price and smell.
The Ojon has god very strong nutty smell (you can get the same mask without the scent if you want) and first time when I tried it overnight, I just could't sleep as the scent was just keeping me awake somehow. The Charles Worthington scent is gorgeous- can't explain what it reminds me of, but it is soft and nice.
So if you ask me, just from the application, smell, results I would prefer The Charles Worthington because it just makes sense. (Ojon Damage Reverse Restorative Hair Treatment for £34 and Charles Worthington Salon at Home Secrets Collection Moisture Seal Intense Rescue Melting Balm for £16.99.)
But if you want to invest in your hair, give Ojon a try. Well, they are just BOTH AMAZING. And if you haven't tried one of these miracle workers on your hair, please DO as your hair with thank you.
Any recommendations for naughty hair? Leave comment:)

Aussie miracle moist shampoo & conditioner

Another day and another post about hair. I am sorry:) My focus is normally to make my blonde hair looking blondish so I choose to go with haircare for blondes, but somehow when I watched StyleDiet's video where she mentioned how she love these, I went and get them. No disappointment there.

Aussie's most famous product is definitely their 3 minute miracle mask and if you ever had a chance to try one out, this shampoo and conditioner smells absolutely the same. Oh, let me tell you, these are the best smelling hair products you will ever try.

I love the texture of the shampoo as it is creamy, but not overly, just right amount to really hydrate my hair and with the conditioner my hair feels soft and it is defrizzed. I could definitely tell that my hair needed a little bit more moisture through the winter and these were my miracle workers for sure.

Try them out as they are cheap and awesome.

Check the shampoo and conditioner in Boots (and they are only £4.69 and on 3for2 now).

Grow gorgeous serum | 1 month of use

If you are new to my blog, let me just tell you that I am little obsessed with hair and growing it long. With having naturally ashy blonde hair I haven't inherited super thick strong locks, but definitely in the process found few tricks that work.

Currently I am trying out the new grow gorgeous serum which is definitely promising A LOT.

First impression: It is so easy to use this. I love that it has got liquidy texture as it is easy to apply. It smells like mens cologne, so definitely no complains there;) and it takes so little time to massage in. I might just massage for few seconds. It feels well relaxing though:)

After 5 days of using: I love that it is so easy to use. Oh, did I already say that?;) Well, it is so true, apply just once a day after shower, so you don't forget to use it. And I never do with this one. Normally when I apply any hair treatments, my hair get super oily very easily. Not with this one, I can still do my routine of washing my hair twice a week.

After 8 days of using : my baby hair is starting growing and even when it looks weird, it gives me proper prove that something is happening. My hair feels strong and thicker, even looks better in a ponytail:)

After 3 weeks of using: no magnificent change that I can really see. Hair feels normal, not really stronger, but it is really healthy, shiny and is getting longer for sure.

After 4 weeks of use: the main difference I can feel and see is definitely in the length. I see a lot of new hair growing out which makes my hair looking a little frizzy, but if my hair will be longer and stronger, I am definitely keeping on using it.

The bottle should last about 2 months with everyday use, but the best results you are supposed to see after 4 months with having 13 000 new hair on average.

Another monthly updated about this product will be going your way, so check them out later on:)

If you are interested in buying one of these, I got mine here for £29.99, which is not cheap (but I am getting married and my hair needs to be fab;))

Thank you dolls for reading and talk to you soon:)

4 ways how to use HONEY

In the past few months I have started to do a little bit of research on some more natural skincare products and options. In the past when I couldn't afford to buy nice skincare, I used to do my own treatments. I once found an old book in our house called herbalist and loved to find treatments in our kitchen to help my skin.
In there I found a perfect SPOT TREATMENT recipe: just mix teaspoon of honey with teaspoon with cinnamon and apply on your spots ("future", starting or existing) and leave for up to 20-30 minutes and rinse with warm water. It always helped with my blemishes.
But as I was doing more research, HONEY has got so much more to offer:

Honey not only helps with ACNE, but also AGEING (as it full of antioxidants helping you fight environmental damage better), PORES and BOOSTING YOUR HEALTHY COMPLEXION.

Honey is great used for a FACE MASK as well. Just taking a spoon of honey, generously apply to the face and leaving up to an hour. Giving you all the benefits of clearing up the blemishes as it is antibacterial and antiseptic, giving anti-oxidants, giving complexion healthy radiance and smoothness. You can make your own face masks, just adding honey as an extra ingredient. Ancient women used to mix it with milk to keep the skin plump and hydrated.

Honey can work for your hair as well as a HAIR MASK. Honey helps to brighten the hair, so again mixing with your favourites for hair makes a great mask. You can mix honey, coconut oil and lemon for lightening the hair or whipped cream if you like. Just mix the texture, apply to dry hair and leave for as much as you can (best to leave overnight) and wash as you would normally do (I personally like to use shampoo twice to make sure everything is properly washed out).

And the last of my favourites uses is to use it as a CLEANSER. I personally just use it as my everyday cleanser, just take teaspoon, put to damp hands, apply to dry skin and massage, add water and rinse off.  I found that it could be a good makeup remover for face when mixed with some kind of oil (I would either recommend olive oil or coconut oil).

There are so many options with honey, it is just amazing. You can really play around with adding your favourite other food from kitchen and find your perfect treatments. The only thing I would like to mention before I leave is to make sure you are using RAW honey, so it is not processed  (loosing any of the active enzymes and benefits).

Do you use honey? Do you have any special secrets treatments? Share below:)

Lush hair care routine...again?

There was a time when I was obsessed with Lush. After every pay day my go-to store was Lush. Always spent few tens of pounds and was coming back for my bath products, face masks and hair products.

That feels like ages ago. These few weeks to months I felt good, no temptation to even have a look in there. I was always bravely passing by not even interested in looking. Well, that ended.

Me and my friend Lauren went just to have a look as the cooler moths started and I was in big need of some bath products. I looked even to the hair department and when I saw my previously loved Jungle conditioner, I somehow couldn't resist. The smell (quite weird at the beginning to me) such special that I just had to get it. Anyway I didn't have any conditioner, so why not.

After my first use of the conditioner, I just knew how much I was missing it. The next day I went to but my favourite New shampoo and Marilyn Hair treatment.

First I am using the Marilyn treatment which I apply to dry hair and leave for roughly 20-30 minutes. It is very very light even though claiming to contain even olive oil. Who knew.... Marilyn helps to make blonde hair nice, shinier and blonder whether you are bleached or natural blonde. I love it as it brightens my hair even in winter months when it normally gets a little bit darker.

Next I am using my solid New shampoo which is quite a funny idea of solid shampoo but it lasts for ages and really does the job done without stripping the hair out. I just rub it against wet hair. It is my favourite one from Lush and claiming to help with hair growth, I just must love it even more.

Jungle conditioner is the last, but definitely not the least. Again, rubbing against the hair in the end and leave for few seconds leaving hair hydrated my definitely not weighted down which is mostly my main concern while having long hair.

Lush got me back. Well, at least my hair. If you have a chance, definitely try this not really normal-ish hair products.

How to: Beautiful curls using Heated rollers

I didn't ever understand the hype about the heated rollers. Until I got them and I love them. My mum used to have heated rollers from previous century- and that was my only bad memory of plastic rollers that you put into boiling water and try to put them into hair without burning something.

The heated rollers of today are advanced, easy and cute looking.
There are so many on the market, but I was drawn to Babyliss. I like that brand and love the sleek, black and sophisticated style.

BaByliss 3035BU Thermo Ceramic Hair Rollers

There are 8 large, 6 medium and 6 small rollers. For all of my hair I just need all the large ones and most of the medium ones.

You can choose how to leave the rollers in place either by clips or metal pins. There is 10 clips and 20 metal pins in the pack.

All the products I have used:

I apply heat protectant and brush it through before I apply heated rollers. It makes them a little bit damp, so the style stays for longer.

After taking out the rollers I like to make volume with Batiste XXL plumping powder, give a little bit smoother texture in the ends with hair oil and last but not least spraying finishing spray to let my curls last for as long as possible:)

I hope this was helpful for you guys in any way:)

Thank you so much for stopping by.
