RealTechniques Miracle complexion sponge

I was just talking to my friend on Sunday how funny it is we change our makeup routines. We start with applying our makeup with fingers, then with foundation brushes, flat kabuki brushes and now the newest hit is sponge. I was a big sceptic and if you would ask me after first use, I hated it. But I converted:)

I have to confess that I haven't tried the famous beauty blender, just the cheaper versions which normally didn't work well, but found the RelTechniques complexion sponge which I absolutely love.

I love the shape with which I can apply my foundation and concealer without cutting any edges. The result is better and easier than with more brushes that I would have to use.

The used sponge on the picture has been abused for few months (I am not playing around with it, I want to see full potential;)) and the little piece is missing because I was really late doing my workout in the gym and was extremely rushing doing my makeup. Otherwise it was holding perfectly fine. I have heard that some people were having troubles while washing it, but I am very satisfied.

This has been my miracle worker for months and all RealTechniques products I have tried, I loved so far. Samantha Chapman seriously knows her stuff.

You can buy the RealTechniques Miracle complexion sponge here for £5.99. (the Boots customers gave 6/6 stars:))

What is your favourite application of foundation?:)

"just paid" Beauty haul

You know those times when you just got paid and for the whole previous month you were eyeing some cool things and you just have to get them? Oh well, that was my mood on Monday. I managed to get some items which I wanted for a while and I am excited to share them with you:)

Firstly the Fountain beauty molecule has been advertised for a while, but it was time when Caroline Hirons mentioned that The hyaluronic molecule is coming, I started to have a proper interest in these goodies. I checked reviews on boots website and as I am getting married in April, I thought it would be a nice treat to try if these could help with my skin getting healthy, glowy and plumped. I will keep you posted on these:)

This month my management change at work and it was quite unexpected and stressful. For that reason I was having a lot of headaches, so I wanted to get something to calm me down, so I got these rollerballs from Aveda. One is Blue oil to balance and the other Stress-fix with rather lavender scent. These will be great also on my travels.

There is never enough of creamy eyeshadows, so no excuse for this paintpot in Vintage selection.

I was nervously waiting when this sponge will finally come to the stores. It was online, but I just like to get my things from stores if I can.

I was never a user of a foundation sponge, so I am a newbie, I am just trying this out, but so far, so good.

It completely changes though how I do my makeup. It is a funny little tool:)

After trying some of the Origins products, I had on my wishlist their moisturizers. I didn't particularly need one, but after reading reviews, knowing how I loved every single product I have already tried, I just couldn't resist. So far, the scent is very pleasant and no reaction to it.

As we all know, Boujrois is owning Channel, so sometimes when I am hooked on something from Chanel, I am trying to find it in Boujrois. This time I really liked the Beiges and as much as I was tempted to buy it, I rather went for this Java rice powder. I am not claiming it is the same thing, but let me just say that I love this so far. I am using it allover as it gives very nice settled glow and oh man, love, love, love.

I have been painting my nails on a regular basis, so no time for playing around. I hope this will truly be Magic nail polish remover.

Since my friend Lauren did a blogpost about Seche vite topcoat and how amazing it is, I wanted it. But £9 and I had another topcoat, I decided to wait. But boots were having offer, so oh well, I got it. And it is GOOD. The texture is very thick, the applicator not my favourite, but it really does dry fast and protects the nails well. Proper review later on though:)

Did you make any naughty purchases after you got paid this month? Share. Would love to hear.

My favourite face makeup brushes

I wasn't the biggest addict of makeup brushes in the past, but when I found the really good ones,I see a very big difference how my makeup lasts and looks.

I would like to show you what makeup brushes I love to use on everyday basis because of their great quality and performance.

The brushes that I purchase most of time are the foundation ones. As I am wearing foundation everyday  and don't have time to wash them that often (and I wash my brushes after one use), it works for me great and I can find how they work best. Sigma angled kabuki brush works amazing! It is so ease to build up foundation and blend it where needed.
The stippling brush from real techniques I use every time when I break out and need super coverage. Just stipple it on, looks great, natural and your skin doesn't look like it is going through the hell.

There is not a lot to tell about this brush. Just easy, quick and soft;)

I absolutely adore this brush. My only Chanel brush, which is so worth it. Use it for blush, highlighter or bronzer, depends on the look that I go for.

It is easy to always have just right amount of blusher on-not too much, not too little. As you take blush on the tip of the brush and then blend with the whole size of the brush.

WHICH ARE YOUR FAVOURITE BRUSHES?

My everyday work make-up

I always love to know what products are people using for their everyday makeup, so I thought why not share mine:)

I need my makeup stay put for whole day, that's why I use setting spray and primer afterwards. I found that it helps even around my nose area which can can greasy the most.

I like to go for a full coverage foundation, but I am trying to use more concealer where I need it and going for a foundation where it is very necessary.                      I always set my foundation with powder, currently I am trying out the bare minerals Mineral veil.
Sometimes I like to go for a little bit of bronzer as it gives me nice colour to the face and the Sleek one works perfectly for my skin as it is not too dark. I wouldn't apply too much, but it gives nice warm, brownish colour. My orgasm blush from Nars is my favourite as it give me nice glow and healthy look to my skin, which is always a plus;)

I love having winged eyeliner for everyday, but I found that when I apply black eyeshadow on the top of my eyeliner, it looks more interesting and not that harsh for a day use.

As a eyeprimer I am using Origins cream shadow and after that I am playing these days with Naked palette 2, which my lovely friend Lauren gave me (how sweet of her:)). And I absolutely love it. I have the original Naked palette so I never thought about picking this up, but it is truly amazing. Love the colours.

These days I am using wearing the same products on my lips as I like the finish and colour (as seen on the picture)
Thank you so much for reading my today's post and hopefully soon I will send my days off make-up for you as it is quite different;)
